In Boyd's essay she is telling the reader how to get in touch with your inner detective. It was a very different approach to explain rhetoric which made it interesting. She made the reader be three things, a lawyer, a detective, and a coronor.
I like your interpretation of her essay. Maybe you could explain a little more?
